The Challenge

Our first challenge was to devise a Google shopping strategy to bring in a good return on ad spend whilst using a conservative budget in a very competitive landscape. We needed to try to match and then exceed the return that was being achieved through Etsy. As a new business, Grace + Olive quite rightly didn’t want to allocate a large budget to Google shopping until they were sure it would provide a good ROI. Many businesses are understandably a little sceptical when adopting a new and unknown marketing channel.  We also needed to add full conversion tracking to the website to enable full visibility of all engagements, enquiries, sales and revenue data. Without this data, you are flying blind on any online marketing activity.


The Solution

Working closely with Grace + Olive our team devised the shopping campaigns around the best selling products with the highest margins. The website and product content needed some updating to adhere to Google requirements for shopping feeds and the ecommerce tracking issues were also resolved. With any new paid strategy, there is always a learning period whilst data is gathered on user behaviour and engagement. Our team work hard during the learning phase with daily monitoring and adjustments to get the campaigns running to their best efficiency as quickly as possible. In just 3 months we have helped Grace + Olive to exceed the performance they achieve with Etsy.

We are continuing to work on the conversion rate optimisation alongside the growth of the campaigns to really put Grace + Olive firmly on the map.
