Our first challenge was to devise a Google shopping strategy to bring in a good return on ad spend whilst using a conservative budget in a very competitive landscape. We needed to try to match and then exceed the return that was being achieved through Etsy. As a new business, Grace + Olive quite rightly didn’t want to allocate a large budget to Google shopping until they were sure it would provide a good ROI. Many businesses are understandably a little sceptical when adopting a new and unknown marketing channel. We also needed to add full conversion tracking to the website to enable full visibility of all engagements, enquiries, sales and revenue data. Without this data, you are flying blind on any online marketing activity.
Grace + Olive appointed Promote Online in October 2022 as a relatively new ecommerce business selling a beautiful range of high end rustic furniture and furnishings. Having relied on sales through Etsy, they wanted to explore Google Shopping Ads to really push their sales and reach new audiences that were as yet ‘untapped’.
