Olly, from Olly Landscapes approached us at Promote Online in the summer of 2023. His business was already set up and he was getting a few enquiries via leafleting and word of mouth. He wanted to grow his business, to fill the diary for at least 6 months in advance to keep his team busy.
Moving forward from that he wanted to build further teams to enable multiple garden renovations projects to be completed at the same time. He wanted to become known as the landscaping company in Bristol whose quality work would put a smile on every customers face.
He asked us to drive as many new enquiries as possible for his budget. Promote Online have now worked with Olly for for 3 years and they have not looked back!
The Challenge
With competition running high in Bristol for landscaping services, we needed to ensure that we were reaching potential customers and audiences who had real intent to appoint a landscaper. These audiences needed to be reached at the lowest cost possible in the most efficient way.
We needed to ensure that Olly stood out from the crowd and that his website and ads all emullated the ethos of Olly Landscapes – Completing landscaping projects to the highest quality, on time and on budget.
We were also aware that with this type of service, people will visit a number of websites before making an enquiry. It is not a quick buy decision when having your garden renovated.
The Solution
We started with the website to ensure the landing pages contained the right images, messaging and flow to grab the attention of potential customers and encourage an enquiry.
We set up sitewide tracking to enable us to measure every lead and phone call that came into the business. In this way, we would be able to report on the campaigns and optimise them to grow the leads each month.
The initial strategy was to focus the budget on Google Ads, to position Olly at the top of the search results pages for intentional keywords to target people searching for his services.
Once the leads were flowing in, we built paid Meta campaings to reach new audiences on Facebook and Instagram. We also retargeted website visitors with compelling ads to drive them back to the website to enquire.
Organic traffic was also an opportunity which had not been previously utilised and in late 2024, Olly started work with our SEO team to ensure that his website was also ranking in the organic search results in Google and other search engines. Using a tailored mix of on-page optimisations, area landing pages and link building strategies, the rankings for some of the most competitive service keywords are showing great improvement.
